Can I make contributions retroactively?
Can I make contributions retroactively?
Updated over a week ago

The IRS only allows 401(k) contributions to be made through payroll for the year in which you received the pay.

Because of these rules, 401(k) contributions can't be made retroactively and can't be made from your personal bank account as a check or ACH transfer.
